500 Istanbul was extremely helpful in recruiting our country head in Istanbul and enabling us to make our first key hires. Whenever we had trouble with our hardware manufacturing and needed to change suppliers and facilities, one of the introductions we received from Enis led to a direct conversion in us switching our entire hardware manufacturing and assembly process. Rina was very helpful with potential client introductions to us such as Turkish Airlines and Peak Games. They’ve helped us establish both a backend development and also a client-facing sales team in Turkey.

We are proud of being a 500 Startups portfolio company because when we go to new countries in our expansion journey, 500 Startups’ global offices help us a lot in terms of strategy and reaching out to the right people. Second thing is, we believe in the power of working with good people. Entrepreneurs are romantics, working with people you love is important and we love you guys. You are the investor with the fastest response rate. I haven’t seen that response rate in any investor. It is a huge support. 500 Startups made Insider’s and its cofounder’s lives easier in the journey.

Enis and Rina helped us a lot as we were trying to expand in Eastern Europe. The connections, both to downstream capital and potential international customers, were instrumental for us to become the regional leader in HR software. I even flew to Japan to meet with another 500 portfolio company in our space which was a couple years ahead of us in Japan.

If it weren’t for 500 Istanbul, we would never meet FarFetch, let alone become their service provider to enable the leading luxury fashion brands of the world. The pre-Series A investment that also came as a result from them is a magnificent added bonus!
